The Wines: Sijnn Red, Sijnn White, Sijnn Saignee and Low Profile.

Off the beaten track, Sijnn (pr. Say-n) Winery is situated near the mouth of the Breede River, close to the hamlet of Malgas, now an official viticultural ward. Sijnn vineyards are based on soils with a combination of pudding stones and Bokkeveld shale. All bush vines, grapes are hand-picked, wines are naturally fermented, basket pressed, and matured in French oak barrels. The wine is unfined, unfiltered, and bottled by hand on the estate under the careful watch of young winemaker, Charla Haasbroek. The cellar, built of local stone, overlooks the river, vineyards and natural Renosterveld kloof. One can enjoy a wine tasting and vintner’s platter when visiting Sijnn Winery.
